Custom Program

The following program has been established to take the 'guess work' out of the Custom Build process. This program is designed to remove the anxiety and apprehension of having a new home built. It will over ALL ASPECTS of construction - from plan approval through completion and customer service.

Our program consists of 6 easy to follow steps:
  1. Design Consulting
  2. Plan Approval & Permitting
  3. Schedule
  4. Construction Involvement
  5. Completion
  6. Customer Service

Design Consulting: Boitano Homes believes that to construct a quality home you must first have a quality plan. This is the first step in Boitano Homes' program. Whether you bring your own plans or would like to work in conjunction with our professional architects, we will work to develop a design that is beautiful as well as comfortable and within your budget. We welcome the opportunity to work with you, taking time to explore your family's requirements, your individual tastes, and your dreams. Our real estate agents can be consulted to assist you in locating the right neighborhood for your new home.

Plan Approval & Permitting:The Second step in our process is the commitment stage. In this stage, you will commit to the design of your new home and Boitano Homes will commit to the cost of the project. When this is completed, we will ask all parties to sign a contract and make a deposit representing a solid commitment of all parties to this project. We require a deposit for custom homes and earnest money deposits for Pre-sale homes. At this point, financing for the projects must be secured. When the contracts are in place and financing is secured, we will than have you sign off on both the plans and the specifications for your new home. With all parties in agreement, we will then file for the proper permits for construction. Permits typically take 6 to 8 weeks to process through the government agencies.

Schedule: Once we have our permits in place, we will sit down with you and go over a detailed schedule for your home. At this point, the schedule is an estimate. We will update this schedule as we go through the construction process. Most of our new homes are complete in 150 to 180 days from start of construction.

Construction Activities: Boitano Homes believes this is more than just another new house, it is your home. Therefore, we wish to include you in the construction process. To facilitate this, we ask that you set aside approximately 1 hour per week during the construction process to meet with a representative of Boitano Homes. During this time, we will accomplish several things:

  • Address any of your questions or concerns
  • Discuss your selections
  • Lay out of rooms, cabinetry, electrical, plumbing, etc.
  • Discuss tasks for the next week.
  • Update the schedule.

This program is very successful for Boitano customers. In taking the time to meet once a week at a given time, every week we can address and resolve issues before they become problems.

Completion: Boitano Homes considers your new home complete when:

  • We receive the Certificate of occupancy from the City or County.
  • All construction items are complete.
  • Boitano Custom LLC has been paid in full (including any and all upgrades.
  • The home is professionally cleaned.

After we have completed our tasks we will have a walk-through with you. During this walk-through we will make a list of any outstanding items that need to be completed. All parties will sign off on the walk-through and possession agreement at this point.

Customer Service: Customer Service is a priority for Boitano Homes. Our commitment to quality construction and customer satisfaction doesn't end with the completion of your home. Boitano customers are encouraged to call with questions or concerns.
